Total Rentals Sustainability Principle
“Sustainable Development is Development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It is not a fixed state of harmony, but rather a process of change in which the exploitation of resources, the direction of investments, the orientation of technological development, and institutional change are made consistent with future as well as present needs.” (Brundtland Report 1987)
We as New Zealanders live in a country blessed by Mother Nature, and it is an integral part of Total Rentals role to return the favour by taking care of our resources for the benefit of the next generation of New Zealanders.
Renting is kinder to the environment. This is especially true with respect to products such as electronic goods or plant machinery. Rent one if you need one. Such equipment will be able to service more clients throughout its product life, unlike if owned by one individual or business entity. This consequentially decreases the quantity of discarded and irreparable equipment disposed of by each and every household (or business) at the end of the day.
